Many of you have asked how to update your Figma file that you’ve been using to the most up-to-date version. For example, if you are using v2.1 and you want to get new components from v2.2.

The only way to do it is by manually copying and pasting the new components or kit into your file.

  1. For components: It is quite simple; you can bring all the components into your file, copy, and paste them. You still need to remap the colors in use to match the colors and typography from your file’s library.
  2. For the kit: it is pretty much the same thing. Copy all the kit you want, remap the components within it, and remap the colors and typography from your file’s library.

Certainly, we’ve been looking for ways to make this updating experience much more seamless and streamlined. We’ll keep you updated.
